What is it
A micro chip fitted to both ends of every seat belt in your automobile that sends a signal to your vehicles starter or ignition. Your car will not start unless the seatbelt of the driver is fastened. Each seat will also be fitted with a pressure sensor underneath the seat, if there is a certain amount of poundage in that particular seat then that seatbelt has to be fastened as well or the vehichle will not start. (The details and kinks can be ironed out)
Why is it needed
Thousands of people die every year in car accidents due not improper use or no use of their Saftey Belts. This is a way to ensure that everyone in the vehicle has a seatbelt on.
Where is the money
Car manufactureres will want this product to ensure that their cars receive the highest possible saftey ratings. Once it is federally mandated that every car has this devise, every car company in America (Maybe the world) will have to have this in every one of their vehicles (Cha-Ching).

That’s an official idea i can see progressing into something beneficial to the general public. The best part is that it’s profitable as well so all players win (Cha-Ching)

This has always been in discussion among the major car manufacturers. The reason these guys have implemented all the bells and whistles but this is because it is a matter of safety enforcement vs. ease of use (read: inability). Disabling a user to do a critical task (which defeats the purpose of the object and subject itself in this case Driving a car, which is the sole reason he is sitting in it because of a sub-concern is not appreciable) and research has shown that in most cases a feature should not disable a person in everyday task unless highly critical.
Even in safety conscious states like US and Europe, emergency takes precedence on safety issues. Just for illustration, say a person is witnessing a medical emergency – do you expect him or driver to wear a seat belt when he’s rushing or even bother about it?
On the side note, that is the reason Honda cars usually “just” BEEP after every interval to remind when a driver isn’t wearing a seat belt BUT do not enforce it.

Imagine, a pregnant women who needs to be rushed to the emergency room, you don’t take the time to buckle her up b/c you are in a hurry (because it is an emergency). You crash and kill her and the baby on the way to the hospital. Now in the 3 seconds it takes to put on a seat belt you could have prevented this. That is why it is a must that we make this not just mandatory for all car manufacturers but we make it a law.

Dear ,
perhaps the idea under consideration is very good but unfortunately that has already been implemented and already comes with some featured cars. One such car i have driven is dodge charger then in Pakistan i drove mark x having the same feature as well. Keep it up …keeep exploring your creativity ;)
