Fwd: to me
I'm against the $85,000,000,000.00 bailout of AIG.

Instead, I'm in favor of giving $85,000,000,000 to America in
a We Deserve It Dividend.

To make the math simple, let's assume there are 200,000,000
bonafide U.S. Citizens 18+.

Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman
and child. So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up..

So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $85 bill on that equals $425,000.00.

My plan is to give $425,000 to every person 18+ as a
We Deserve It Dividend.

Of course, it would NOT be tax free.
So let's assume a tax rate of 30%.

Every individual 18+ has to pay $127,500.00 in taxes.
That sends $25,500,000,000 right back to Uncle Sam.

But it means that every adult 18+ has $297,500.00 in their pocket.
A husband and wife has $595,000.00.

What would you do with $297,500.00 to $595,000.00 in your family?
Pay off your mortgage - housing crisis solved. Repay college loans - what a great boost to new grads
Put away money for college - it'll be there
Save in a bank - create money to loan to entrepreneurs.
Buy a new car - create jobs
Invest in the market - capital drives growth
Pay for your parent's medical insurance - health care improves
Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean - or else

Remember this is for every adult U S Citizen 18+ including the folks
who lost their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every other company
that is cutting back. And of course, for those serving in our Armed Forces.

If we're going to re-distribute wealth let's really do it...instead of trickling out
a puny $1000.00 ( 'vote buy' ) economic incentive that is being proposed by one of our candidates for President.

If we're going to do an $85 billion bailout, let's bail out every adult U S Citizen 18+!

As for AIG - liquidate it.
Sell off its parts.
Let American General go back to being American General.
Sell off the real estate.
Let the private sector bargain hunters cut it up and clean it up.

Here's my rationale. We deserve it and AIG doesn't.

Sure it's a crazy idea that can 'never work.'

But can you imagine the Coast-To-Coast Block Party!

How do you spell Economic Boom?

I trust my fellow adult Americans to know how to use the $85 Billion
We Deserve It Dividend more than I do the geniuses at AIG or in Washington DC.

And remember, T he Birk plan only really costs $59.5 Billion because $25.5 Billion is returned
instantly in taxes to Uncle Sam.

Ahhh...I feel so much better getting that off my chest.

Across the U.S. there are conflicts between businesses, between people, between parent and children,etc.-as long as there is a human being present there will be conflict. The task of solving problems has been with us since the very beginning. Some conflicts are not problems but mere questions- molehills made into mountains.
The dressings of Power and greed have made it possible for too many to change. This is called bullying in schools, it is called abuse between spouses and in home settings, etc. No matter the label it is harmful and long lasting-very far reaching.
To the harmed many times it isn't enough to believe that "what goes around comes around." I can understand the words of Allan Singh. History tells us that among my tribe, the Cherokees we had a woman war chief-she was the decision maker of whether to go to war. She understood losing a son and/or a life partner. She also understood the losses were the same for the opposing side. Of course this is way too much for the power-greedy folks we are ruled by in this day and time, we must recognize this.
In the meantime the environment, education, health of the citizenry, etc all are by the wayside so we can enjoy the losses of humans and goods and the demands of more-more goods and humans, then comes the enormous wealth showered on the few. It is age old.
It all has to do with growth and development, not church or Jesus or christian faith-it has to do with enough people growing into sensitive caring groups and saying "no more"--no more killing, no more abusing strangers, no more glorifying the misled, undeveloped, greedy people many think are at the top-who are really honestly at the bottom.

In response to your postings for new ideas, I would like to submit my humble opinion about (a
wars and (b about how to solve the the economic crisis facing the world.

I would like to see the United Nations become a real Entity with clout and teeth and to face the challenges of our world. Right now, this body of nations which is supposed to pass resolutions dealing with many important issues facing the various nations of the world, seems like a tootless tiger. With regard to wars, I would like to humbly make this suggestion: Any country wishing to wage war on another country, in the form of pre-empthic millitary strike, the leaders of this respective nation should be expected to lead the battle like a regular soldier heading into battle. In other words, he of she should be put in danger of losing his or her life in the war effort. They and their families should not be isolated and cushioned from the actual dangers the regular soldiers must face as they go willingly or otherwise into battle. Historically speaking, many of the great warriors have personally led battlles.

With the UN passing resolutions demanding that any aggresive leader be at the forefront of the war, I would be very interested to see WHO WILL START A WAR. In the case of those countries led by dictorical regimes, the UN must act to remove from power by force when diplomacy fails. This must be a consorted effort. The UN, WILL HAVE A DEMORATIC FORM OF VOTING JUST LIKE INDIVIDUAL COUNTRIES. If we are to truly reflect and foster domoracy, then what better group is there than the united nations?

With regard to economics, the bottom line is that there are too many greedy and extremely rich and powerful people who do not care but only pay lip service to the plight of the poor and disadvantaged. The leaders are the #1 culprits. They want big and numerous palaces all over the world, mansions, private Jets, special treatments and all of the material things of the world and to "hell with the poor". For those of Christian Faith, what example did Jusus set?
