What is it

Like wire less network and televisions control by a remote control why not it is possible that we can charge our notebooks and PDA devices I did not know may be there will be some solution or some company have already done it if it is done then please tell if you know any company who have introduce this technology. Or if it is not done then this technology must be introduced by some Pakistani I really like that this technology will be introduced by our brother.

And I know the company which will introduce it will be multinational company like Acer, HP etc and no Pakistani company is working on notebooks or on PDAs but it can be done by some our engineer who can sell this technology to those companies

Explosives Detective System

What is it
A system to detect the presence of explosives within a particular range.

What is it
There already are mechanisms & machines used for the detection of explosives at places like airports but their use is limited and much act like scans. We need to extend the functionality and introduce a system rather acts like a radar.

Why is it needed
Considering today’s security conditions, the device should be able to prevent bombings including suicide bombings by detecting the suicide bomber.

Where is the money
An innocent life saved is worth more than a zillion dollars.

All of the points mentioned are great but i do not see how they apply in our environment, here as a software house the biggest problem u face is copyrights, u launch one thing it gets copied re branded and is quoted for half the price the next day…so the entire forecasting ala management stuff goes out of the window!

I’ve proposed that some of the US AID funds be applied for capacity building in the private sector and that would include angel-level (less than $1 million) for early stage companies. The USAID process requires institutional support and continuity, eg from biz assocs and endorsements from govt agencies.

The bias is towards ‘investments’ in operations with huge headcounts, but those can have big risks.

What is it

An electronic electoral voting system, catering to revolutionize the way we vote. Although this cannot be directly adopted, due to lack of infrastructure, it can be adopted for those areas that can utilize it best.

We have the capability to have such a solution developed, and there are many ways to make it fool proof and the results tamper proof. Though those at the helm of leadership won’t appreciate it :)

Why is it needed

Though a manual electoral voting system prevails globally, there is open opportunity to revolutionize the way we do it by adding technology to the equation.

There is a large scale tampering with votes and the opinions of the citizens of the country, leading to the election of such personalities which are never good for us. Time and again, we have faced this, and it is time to change this.

Where is the money

In the development and resale to other countries or agencies. My view, sell it to such bodies, as it is worth the effort. The concept of rolling the idea out here is to see what kind of response comes through.

AOD (Audio-on-demand) on FM frequency

What is it

A specific frequency in FM band is allocated to a radio station. Suppose, a radio station is broadcasting at 100 Mhz. That radio station can offer a paid service to subscribers, that will require authentication too, and allows them to play their selected songs.

Take this example: The user registers for account and using the web-based control panel, he creates a playlist of his favorite songs. When he’s driving, he can tune to that particular broadcaster using a special digital audio tuner (or a radio). He gets connected to the broadcaster’s server and he can then play his selected songs, shuffle them or select songs from his created playlist to be played in his car.

Why is it needed

Just like we have Video-on-demand through mediums of cable, fibre optics or satellite, I think there must be a way to offer Audio-on-demand on FM frequency. We can compare it with VOD offers by a DTH service. Satellite signal in DTH will be replaces by FM frequency and the digital receiver/decoder will be replaced by the digital tuner/radio.

When we are limited to our music selection on a few CD’s or IPod when traveling on car, using this idea we will have access to even tens of thousands of songs. The good things is that all the songs will be on server and only play lists will be saved in each user account. So, no extra storage for each user will be needed except to save the play list.

It will be just like a virtual IPod connected in car with no storage limit.

Where is the money

About the revenue, it will be from two of the sources:

1. Subscribers, who will be paying to avail this service.

2. Advertisers, whose ads can be inserted automatically in the playlist of the users).

The attractive thing for the advertisers is that the users can be targeted according to their demographics (just like web surfers or cell phone users).

SSD (Seatbelt Safety Devise)

What is it

A micro chip fitted to both ends of every seat belt in your automobile that sends a signal to your vehicles starter or ignition. Your car will not start unless the seatbelt of the driver is fastened. Each seat will also be fitted with a pressure sensor underneath the seat, if there is a certain amount of poundage in that particular seat then that seatbelt has to be fastened as well or the vehichle will not start. (The details and kinks can be ironed out)

Why is it needed

Thousands of people die every year in car accidents due not improper use or no use of their Saftey Belts. This is a way to ensure that everyone in the vehicle has a seatbelt on.

Where is the money

Car manufactureres will want this product to ensure that their cars receive the highest possible saftey ratings. Once it is federally mandated that every car has this devise, every car company in America (Maybe the world) will have to have this in every one of their vehicles (Cha-Ching).
